The World is For Me to Discover, and Eat.

The last month has brought about a world of discovery for the little guy. Namely the animal kingdom we have. He watches the cats and dogs, getting frustrated when they don't come over to give him kisses. Both big dogs stick their noses in his face then give his hand or foot a little lick, but Wrigley likes to plant them right on the kisser. From the way Wyatt laughs and opens his mouth for more while leaning in, I guess he likes it. We try to stop it when we see it coming. I'm all for kisses, but that's kinda gross.

My one little Manx kitty still has to be by his side almost constantly. Wyatt tries to get kisses from her also, and has taken to grabbing with both hands and pulling her in. She tolerates this, and he tolerates the mouthful of hair he gets, but again, it's a practice we aren't exactly condoning. Here he is trying to go in for the 'kill', but mom has a pretty good grip on him.

First he notices...

Then he leans...

Then he tries to go for it before mom stops it...(see the tongue starting to come out?)

As I take him everywhere with me, we inevitably end up in loud places. I had to watch gate at the basketball game recently, and as we were right under the buzzer I got a chance to use the babybanz ear protectors I had bought awhile back. He fell asleep with them on; after chewing on his feet for awhile.

Really Not a Whole Lot...

I know I skipped over the Holidays pretty quickly...and that's because there isn't much to tell. I hate to admit it, but it wasn't a very happy time. This was due to a variety of reason's - one being there was a sad little girl in the house who's mother promised to take her to Disneyland over Christmas and then never came to got her; citing excuse after excuse. Another being family member's who are unsure of to whom they should be pledging their loyalty. Like that should even be an issue - but for some reason it is.

I'm married. That means to me that my husband and immediate family (i.e. our children) come before all others. This seems to be a difficult concept for some people to grasp; making threats, unfair accusations and malicious lies to get their way. Which, when it comes right down to it, doesn't make any darn sense anyway.

My New Year's Resolution? To purge my life of all this negativity and, let's face it, verbal and emotional abuse. If you are a negative influence on my emotional health, I don't want to talk to you. Sorry, but that's my bottom line.

This comes after a VERY LONG year of being gracious and attempting to show my sincerity about the importance of family, all the while biting my tongue and stopping myself from blurting out my true feelings. However, my true feelings won't do anything but sink me to the levels of those who cause these emotions, so I'm taking a healthier route - and guess what?

Life has been quite peaceful these last few weeks!

I've also learned a lot from my son. Smile and laugh everytime someone talks to you and they will start to do the same!

I Didn't Have Internet!

The Rio Grande

I didn't drop off the face of the Earth, but I didn't have internet access and I've been crazy busy since! I'm sorry!
There's not much to say about Christmas Break. Wyatt enjoyed it. I spent a lot of time making gifts that still need to be mailed out. It's hard for me to find some 'me' time.

Chilled on New Year's with some friends.

In other news: New horse, Wrigley's a daddy again, it snowed here...

Enjoy the pics, movies, etc...

Our fantastic Santa, courtesy of my colleagues husband....does that make her Mrs. Claus?

Wrigley's a daddy!

The wine glasses I handpainted

The Pysanky eggs I decorated for ornaments

The necklaces I beaded

And my little man!

I promise to post again soon!
