Your Thoughts On:

Do things really happen for a reason? And I mean a good reason. Really truly really? I'm struggling with this concept right now...I just want to know your stories...

Ha, ha! I tagged you for "Book Tag". You should have something interesting to post!
So here are the rules:(1)Grab the nearest book; (2)Open the book to page 56.(3)Find the fifth sentence.(4)Post the text of the next two to five sentences.(5)Don't dig for your favorite book, the cool book, or the intellectual one.Pick the Closest.(6)Tag five people to do the same.
I KNOW you have 5 friends to tag and I can't wait to see what YOU are reading! Have fun! Keep it up!
Deserthorses5 (Cheryl Ann)...see my blog for my post and you can figure out what to do!

I do think things happen for a reason. In college I was a bit of a "party" gal. Hee hee! I had a good time. I still got good grades but I was all about the cowboys. It happens when you go to a college where there are cowboys everywhere, and they all knew how to ride!! Perfect!! But I screwed up. I ended up graduating while I was 5 months pregnant.

It calmed me down a lot and made me relize I was a total idiot!! LOL! And if non of that happened I would have never moved back home and ment the man that is my husband now.

So, I went through some really tough times to get some really wonderful times. It's all worth it. Take it as it comes. Grow from experiances and everything will be fine.

I've got a similar story to Andrea's, and I'm a strong believer in that fact. Things will work out okay, and you know we're always here if you need us!

Not to be a downer, but I dont believe everything happens for a reason. I did. Then my dad died. Now I think its a load of shit.

Have a great time on your trip! :)

I think God has a plan for our lives - I think we can easily change that plan by making poor choices, but I believe he always helps to get us back on track. But not every little (or even big) thing may happen for one explicit reason - but they all help us to become ourselves.

I don’t think things really happen for a reason – i.e that the universe or god or karma, etc is controlling this or setting them up ahead of time, but I do believe that we can grow and learn for each thing that happens in our life. It is easy to look back and say – this happened to me to for this reason, but what you are really saying – this is what I got out of this experience. I’m not sure I’m making much sense, but I think that it is sort of like what Alanna said that “they all help us to become ourselves” I had a boyfriend treat me badly my freshman year and it really changed me – do I think that something made me be in that relationship to cause this change? No, but I did change because of it and it is part of who I am now. I think that our brains are set up to want to find patterns and logic within the world and that is why we think “there is a reason for this.” And then sometimes I think maybe I’m totally wrong…
